KLAMM TYPE FAMILY

OBJECTIVE:to create a revival typeface from a found printed source.

OUTCOME:A revival typeface inspired by scans of Runic type.
Runic was used
since the late 19th-century, and was both a typeface as well as a category of roman typefaces with sharp (“Latin”) serifs, or flared (“Glyphic”) terminals.
Leaning into the unique flairs and cupped serifs, I exagerated these qualities to lean the typeface into more of a display type.

The project was a final project of The Letterform Archive’s Typewest progam of 2025 taught by type design Sahar Afshar.

SKILLS:publication design, type design, Glyphs, writing
